The soul is essentially a seventh dimensional construct.
Within the first seven levels of the universe, souls who wish to experience a given realm must create (or have created for them) a vehicle suitable for experiencing that level.

All life forms that exist in a given plane or dimension are programmed to be able to withstand the environment into which they are incarnating.
Think of the physical form as being a bit like choosing a car to drive.
Before incarnating into this world, you select a model and size appropriate to what your soul desires to learn while on Earth.
Unlike a mechanical vehicle, your soul embeds itself into the physical form by extending a small part of itself into the main centers (chakras) of the body.
Although soul energy is distributed throughout the body, it tends to concentrate around a point above the heart and a point near what is commonly called the “third eye” in the center of the forehead.
There is also a significant amount of soul presence in a region of the solar plexus.
